I felt both sadness and joy as we were told of Jean's passing this morning at St. Mark's Mooresville. I had the honor of knowing Jean and learning from her during those years. She was a dear member of my circle and she certainly served as a mentor to those of us younger that her. She taught so much from what she said and just as much for her willingness to serve. I know all of you as her family know with confidence that she has joined Fred in a better place with her heavenly father. I will pray for your peace during this difficult time. P.S. I have a small painting done by Jean and 2 framed photos taken by Fred. They were both kind in donating them to a silent auction held for the Children's Theatre years ago. I made sure that I won. It just so happens that next weekend St. Marks is having a display called "Labor of Love" where we are encouraged to display how we use our gifts related to the arts to perform a labor of love. I am going to display their art at this event. It will mean a lot to all of their old friends at St. Marks.
