William Schaller Jr. Obituary

William H. Schaller Jr.  Age 81.  Passed away peacefully at home after a brief illness.  Beloved son of the late Dr. William H. and Eleanore Schaller Sr.  Cherished brother of the late Darla Jean Schaller.  Dear cousin of many.  Bill was a graduate of John Marshall High School and Kent State University.  As a teacher in Industrial Arts for students in the 7th. 8th and 9th grades, he taught in Cleveland at Newton D. Baker and in Lakewood at Horace Mann.  In later years he drove the tram at the Cleveland Metroparks zoo.  He loved his home here in Cleveland and in Hallandale Beach, Florida during the winter months.  Favorite vacation spots were cruises and Disney World accompanied by his sister Darla.  One of his favorite foods was any kind of bakery.  Bill owned the West Park building at 15008 Lorain Ave. and the Midas shop next door. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 25th (his birthday) at 10:00 a.m. at the David Martens & Son Funeral Home 4175 Rocky River Drive (Between Lorain & Puritas).  Family will receive friends on Monday morning only from 9-10 a.m.  Entombment at Brooklyn Heights Cemetery. in lieu of flowers, the family asks that you call a loved one and say "hi".
