William F. Malloy (JustPlainBill), 81, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2026. Born in Cleveland, Ohio on March 2, 1945 to Richard Malloy and Mary Mitchell (both deceased), and brother of Michael (deceased), James, and John (deceased). Past husband of Violet J. Malloy, and Father of Richard, Patrick, Joseph, William F. II (deceased), David (Blanca), Kathleen and Laura Malloy. Generous Grandfather of Mark, Ryan, Seth, Evelyn, Violet and John Chapman.
He was a retired member of the Pipefitters Local 120 and was one of their finest fitters. He was a self-made, hardworking, iconoclastic Irishman who provided well for his family all of his life. Bill loved singing, karaoke, and sitting with his cats on his lap in their favorite spot. He was a brilliant man, a great cruciverbalist who enjoyed finishing his daily crosswords (IN PEN!) each morning just as much as he enjoyed savoring his tea. He will forever be remembered as a true warrior who fought hard in life, and passed away peacefully into Jesus' loving arms as He spoke, "Well done!"
Family will receive friends Friday, May 1, 2026: 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at David G. Martens & Sons Funeral Home on Rocky River Drive, Cleveland, OH. All are welcome to attend his funeral services at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at Martens, with internment at Alger Cemetery, followed by a Celebration of Life at Brennan's Party Center at 13000 Triskett Road, Cleveland, OH.
