Thomas Kahoe Jr.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas Kahoe Jr., age 53, who departed this life on April 29. Born and raised in North Olmsted, Ohio, Tommy brought warmth, wisdom, and joy to every corner of the country he called home—including the years he spent in West Virginia and Florida.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Sr. and Angelika Kahoe, his sister Jennifer Kahoe, and is survived by his two brothers James (Lindsay) and Timothy (Autumn), his sister Lori Kahoe, and niece Morgan.

Tommy was a true original. Outgoing and deeply social, he had a gift for turning strangers into friends and making every room he entered feel lighter. He was a natural storyteller who captivated listeners with humor, heart, and an uncanny ability to find meaning in the everyday. As a man of depth and reflection, he often pondered life’s larger questions and lived with a strong spiritual compass that guided his actions and his care for others.

He was a devoted member of his fraternity, Sigma Tau Gamma, where lifelong bonds were formed and brotherhood was more than a word—it was a way of life. His heart belonged to his family, especially his beloved niece, with whom he shared a close and cherished bond. His love overflowed to his many friends and extended family members, each of whom felt the warmth of his thoughtfulness.

His legacy lives on in the stories he shared, the lives he touched, and the memories that will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be remembered for his spirit, his laughter, and his boundless love.

A celebration of his life will be held on Monday June 9th  from 4-6pm at David G. Martens and Son Funeral Home, 4175 Rocky River Drive (between Lorain & Puritas). Following the visitation everyone is invited to PJ McIntyre's Pub at 17119 Lorain Avenue (Kamm's Corners) for refreshments. 

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his memory to the American Heart Association.
