Rita Mae left us all way too soon. She was a delightful daughter, sister, mother, and friend. Rita was born in Cleveland Ohio. She grew up in Parma Ohio and graduated from Valley Forge High School in 1984. After graduating, Rita went on to proudly serve in the United States Air Force for 6 dedicated and loyal years of service to our country. She had the rare opportunity to travel all over the world and grace many with her sarcastically funny sense of humor and flamboyantly beautiful personality. Rita volunteered her compassionate heart, laughter, and incredible warmth to many battling illnesses at the Hospice of the Western Reserve. She worked at Three Rivers for the last 19 dedicated years exposing all of her co-workers and patients to her warm empathic and kind gentle heart. She enjoyed living life to the fullest with everyone around her. Every life she walked into and touched was graced and will forever mourn her absence in their life. Rita’s intoxicating laughter and kind heart will be cherished and remembered forever.
The family will receive friends at the David Martens & Son Funeral Home 4175 Rocky River Drive (between Lorain & Puritas) Sunday, September 27th from 1-3 pm. In place of flowers, contributions to Hospice of the Western Reserve at P.O. BOX 72101, Cleveland OH, 44192 would be appreciated. A Celebration of her Life will be planned in the future. Masks and Social distancing are required.
