Mariann L. Palvagasi, 78, of Cleveland, Ohio passed away quietly in her sleep on Monday, February, 17, 2020.
Mariann was born on April 11, 1941 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Simon and Anna Fleischer. Mariann graduated from Lakewood High School in 1959.
She has three siblings: the late Gloria Smith, Donald Fleischer of Grafton, Ohio and Margaret Garland of Atlanta, Georgia. Margaret is Mariann’s twin sister.
Mariann was twice married and divorced, first to Richard E. Davis, Sr. of Orlando, Florida and then to Frank Palvagasi of Cleveland, Ohio, who preceded her in death.
Mariann is survived by two children: Richard E. (Jodith) Davis, Jr. of Cornelius, NC and Kristine Palvagai-Quenel of Atlanta, Georgia. She is also survived by three grandchildren: Mary Catherine (Cate) Davis, Margaret (Maggie) Davis and Floyd Adrian Samuels, Jr.
Mariann and her twin sister Margaret were professional singers in the Cleveland area for a few years before they got married and started to raise families. Mariann was an amateur artist and loved painting with oil paints. She worked at American Greetings, Dial America and Marc’s grocery throughout her career.
Mariann loved watching her Cleveland sports teams. Like many long suffering fans, she followed the Cleveland Browns and was excited about their promising finish in 2018. She also was happy when the Tribe made it to the World Series a few years back and the Cavaliers won the NBA in 2016.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 4:30pm at Columbia Road Baptist Church 4116 Columbia Road North Olmsted, Ohio.
