Kirk Alan Mueller Sr.

Kirk Alan Mueller Sr. passed away on January 21, 2026, with his family by his side.  Kirk was the beloved husband of Charline Mueller (nee Ewing) for 48 years.

He was a devoted father to Kirk Mueller Jr. (Amanda), Katie Figuly (Paul), Kevin Mueller (Victoria), and Jennie Mueller, who preceded him in death. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Hannah, Grace, Noa, and Alan Mueller (deceased); Kayla, Kylie, and Kinsley Figuly; and Julia and Oliver Mueller.  He was the son of Fred and Jean Mueller and the son-in-law of Charles and Arline Ewing, all of whom preceded him in death. Kirk was a brother to Zane Mueller (Donna), and was a brother-in-law to Charles Jr. and Mary Anne Ewing, and Beth and Dr. Eric Flint. He was a cherished Uncle and Godfather to many.

Kirk attended Lutheran High School West in Rocky River, Ohio and Concordia Teachers College in Seward, Nebraska. He dedicated thirty years to FedEx,where he built a respected career. Twenty-three years ago, he received the gift of life through a heart transplant, for which he remained deeply grateful.

Above all else, Kirk loved his family and especially treasured time spent with his grandchildren. Kirk will be remembered for his devotion to family, resilience, and enduring faith. His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 30, at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Lutheran Church (4260 Rocky River Drive, Cleveland, Ohio). Please meet at church. Following the service there will be a luncheon in the church fellowship hall. After lunch there will be a funeral procession to Sunset Memorial Park for the interment at 2:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Thursday, January 29, from 4:00–6:30 p.m. at the David Martens & Son Funeral Home 4175 Rocky River Drive (between Lorain & Puritas)  Cleveland, Ohio
