Henry "Bud" Colfer Age 100. Passed away peacefully at Mallory's home on July 29th. Beloved husband of 52 years to the late Dorothy E. (nee Greavin). Devoted father of the late Deborah "Peach" Colfer-Gulla.
Cherished Papa of Gabriel Gulla (deceased) and Mallory (Mike) Mentessi. Great grand Papa of Gabe and Viviana. Henry had 8 siblings who are all deceased. Uncle and great uncle to many. Bud was an avid golfer and bowler. He enjoyed playing lottery scratch offs everyday in hopes of hitting it big for his family. Bud was a veteran who joined when he was only 17 years old. He served in the U. S. Navy during WWII in the South Pacific including during the battle of Okinawa. Bud was a retired pipefitter with local 120 here in Cleveland.
Funeral mass will be held Friday, August 7th, 10:00 a.m. at Mary Queen of the Apostles 6455 Engle road Brook Park. Please meet at church. Interment will follow the mass at Holy Cross Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the David Martens & Son Funeral Home 4175 Rocky River Drive (between Lorain & Puritas) on Saturday, August 1st, BUD'S 101st BIRTHDAY, from 4-7 p.m.
