Donald J. Broerman Age 94 Passed away quietly with his family by his side. Beloved husband of 55 years to the late Ruth A. (nee Smith). Loving father of Jane Ann (deceased), John and Stephen. Cherished grandfather of Lisa, Kelly (Jake) Moyer, Stacy (Adam) Keck, Daniel and Michael. Great grandfather of Everleigh Broerman, Dylan Moyer, Charlie Keck, Cameron Moyer, Aiden Moyer, Andrew Keck and Austin Moyer. Dear brother of Melvin (deceased), Elizabeth McIntyre, Sr. Rose Margaret C.P.P.S.(deceased), Doris Blanke (deceased), Thelma Eulitt and Julius (deceased). Uncle and great uncle of many. He grew up on a farm in St. Mary's Ohio and went to Miami University where he majored in mathematics. Don was retired from Republic/LTV Steel Co. for many years. Don loved to keep his home in immaculate condition and enjoyed spending time with his family. His hobbies included reading at least 1 book a week and as an avid golfer he had 2 holes-in-one. Funeral mass will be held Saturday, March 1st, 12:30 p.m. at St. Bernadette Catholic Church 2256 Clague Road. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Saturday, March 1st, at the David Martens & Son Funeral Home 4175 Rocky River Drive (between Lorain & Puritas) from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Family suggests contributions to the O'Neill Healthcare Scholarship Fund in recognition of the care he received at the Bay Village home.
