Ruth E. Kostur (nee Kovach). Passed away August 5 at Fairview Hospital. She was born in Pleasant City, Ohio to Andrew and Mildred Kovach then later moved to Cleveland. Ruth was confirmed at Concordia Lutheran Church and married Andrew J. Kostur on May 24, 1952. She retired from Women's federal savings bank in 1993. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband in 1994, and sisters Martha (Milan) Lestock in 2011, and Dorothy (Jack) Wieder in 2015. She is survived by her sister Eileen (Leroy) Wolff and all her children, Mark (Kathy) Kostur, Lynn (Hilde) Kostur, Gary Kostur, and Diane (Brad) Paton. Ruth has 4 grandchildren, Michael (Beth) Kostur, Andrea (Nathan) Svodoba, Gregory and Allison Paton, and 6 great grandchildren. Ruth filled her days with sewing, knitting, quilting and embroidery projects and she gave generously of her time to her grandchildren. A celebration of Life service will be held, Friday, August 12, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Messiah Lutheran Church, 21485 Lorain Road Fairview Park, Ohio 44126. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that any donations be made to the Messiah Altar Guild.
