ROSALIA C. MONAI,ROSALIA CIGAGNA M.D., age 87, of Brooklyn Hts. Preceded in death by parents, Angelo and Augusta Cigagna; sister Valerie Shannon and husband, Gene Monai. Beloved mother of Kenneth (Susan Miller), Susan (Bohdan) Tarnawsky, Catherine (R. Duke) Spiker, Lee (Lynn) and Alan (Danielle). Cherished grandmother of Andrew and Jeffrey Tarnawsky, Matthew, Rosel and Victoria Spiker, Allison and Gene Monai. Survived by devoted sister, Flora Demeter; nieces, nephews, other family and many friends. Graduated Capital University, Columbus, OH., 1944. Women's Medical College of Philadelphia, PA., 1948. Diplomate of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, Fellow of the American Society of Anesthesiologists. Her private practice served for over 40 years at Southwest General, Huron Road, Booth Memorial, Euclid-Glenville and Deaconess Hospitals. Ground floor member of The Surgery Center in Middleburg Hts. Longtime board member of Luther Memorial School. Retiring from medicine in 1988, Rose traveled the world with family member and friends. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Nov. 3, 10 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, 3271 W. 43 St., Cleveland. (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH). Pastor Emeritus Lloyd Gross officiating. Family will receive friends at the DAVID G. MARTENS & SON FUNERAL HOME, 4175 ROCKY RIVER DR. (BETWEEN LORAIN AND PURITAS), MONDAY 3-8 P.M. Contributions may be made to the VNA Hospice or the American Cancer Society .
