BUCHWALD NORMA JEAN BUCHWALD, Norma Jean Stinson was born June 17, 1924 in Grand Rapids, MI. Gain and Lucile Stinson adopted her when she was just a infant. Norma grew up in Grand Rapids until she met and married Edward S. Buchwald in 1947 in Cleveland, OH. They remained married for 57 years before Edward passed away in 2004. They had three children, Janet Lucile Buchwald, Paul Lawrence Buchwald and William Charles Buchwald. One grandchild enriched her life, Elizabeth Ann Buchwald. Norma's life was all about family, her love for animals, her passion for music, the theatre and her business partnership with her husband, Edward. During the 1960's she successfully produced, directed and performed in musical venues for Highland Christian Church, located on the west side of Cleveland. The musicals became so successful; the church could no longer hold the number in attendance so the performances had to be moved to the Masonic Lodge in downtown Cleveland. In 1970, Norma joined Edward to form Boulevard Clock and Watch, originally at Kamm's Corner in Cleveland. They ran the business together for 30 years before their son, Paul, joined and eventually bought the business. Both Norma and Edward continued to work there until Edward's passing six years ago.
