Julius Skerlan, passed away August 11, 2023. Beloved husband of Sheila Gesing (née Matthews).  Stepfather of Brian Gesing (Carrie), Katie Pierson (Dan), and Anne Scalabrino (Dan).  Brother of Priscilla Wieser and Maria Viiberg.  Uncle of Emese, Andrea, Bandi, Elizabeth, and Alex. Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, September 2nd, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Raphael's Church, 525 Dover Center Rd., Bay Village. Immediately following the mass everybody is invited to a Celebration of Julius' life at the Aviator event center  (former 100th Bomb Squad) 20920 Brookpark Road (across from the airport).

Julius was a member of several organizations. Was past president of Rocky River-Lakewood Rotary club, past president of the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce, on the board of the former Northcoast Health Ministry. He sailed competitively for many years and was an avid tennis player. We traveled all over the world. When he was younger he was involved in the Hungarian Scouts.
