JOHN H. MELCHER age 82. Beloved husband of the late Beverly J. (nee Oller) for 46 years. Devoted father of John (Chris), Mark and Karen (Donald) Green. Grandfather of Erik, Lauren, Brian, Joshua, John and Anna. Great- grandfather of Lillian. Dear brother of Joanne Hibjan, Kenneth (Carol) and the late Robert, Edward and Lawrence. WWII U.S. Navy Veteran. Retired from Sherwin-Williams after 44 years. He sang with the George Stone singers for 36 years and as a member of St. Wendelin and St. Basil choirs. He volunteered with St. Basil, St. Patrick Emergency Food Center, West Side Catholic Center, South Point and Hillcrest Hospitals. He was charitable, caring and passionate his entire life. A good friend, a great father and we certainly hope there is a golf course in heaven. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, July 3, 10 a.m. at St. Basil Church, 8700 Brecksville Rd.
