Elyria
Franklin David Farley (1952-2022)
Franklin David Farley, loving husband of Rose (Dimeo) Farley for fifty-one wonderful years, went home to be with his Savior November 16, 2022. Dave was born in Logan, West Virginia, the son of the late Wirt and Louise Farley, and brother of the late William E. Farley. His family moved to Cleveland when he was just three years of age. He grew up in Cleveland and met his high school sweetheart in 1968 at John Marshall High School. They graduated in 1970 and were married in 1971. Dave gave his life to Christ in March of 1973, and spent most of his adult life serving as an associate pastor, serving his Lord, and pointing others to Christ. He lived by the Scripture, "…As for me and my house we will serve the Lord." (Joshua 24:15) Dave was an incredible father to five children and a beloved Papa to fifteen grandchildren. Survivors, in addition to his wife, include his five children: Cynthia, David (Angela), Sandra, Bill (Katharine), and John (Amber). He was the beloved grandfather to fifteen grandchildren: Trevor, Kit, Cole, Alyssa, Ethan, Logan, Kenny, Brooke, Leah, Brienna, Phoebe, MaKenna, Kaleigh, Levi, and Hailey. Dave is also survived by his uncle Ted (Janet) Dingess, many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins who loved him greatly. Services will be at Cleveland Baptist Church, 4431 Tiedeman Rd., Brooklyn, Ohio. The viewing will be Monday, November 21, from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. The funeral will be Tuesday, November 22, at noon (with an additional viewing starting at 11:00 a.m.) A graveside service will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 6265 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted, Ohio.
