Edward S. Maslar  Age 74  Passed away after a short illness.  He is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Jeanne (nee Chapman), Beloved son of Bette (nee Balogh) and the late Edward,  brothers  Brian (Karen) Maslar, Dennis (deceased) (Diane) Maslar and Daniel (deceased) Maslar and Greg Maslar (deceased). Ed's boys - Alan (Rebecca) Maslar and Scott (Alicia) Maslar, step-father of Julia (Ray) Foss, William (Bernadette) Gruber and Janis (Jason) Reinke. nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and many grandchildren that he loved dearly

Ed attended St. Monica's Grade school in Garfield Heights, and Holy Name High School on Harvard & Broadway.   He attended Cleveland State University as a Co-Op Engineering Student and graduated in 1973.  He worked as an Industrial Engineer for Warner & Swasey and subsequently ProfitKey. He ended his career as a Manufacturing Support Software consultant for many years prior to retiring in 2018.

Ed was an avid cook, and loved hiking and bird watching with his wife.  He loved to wood work, problem solve and could fix just about anything.  He was always making and fixing things.    Ed loved to walk, be in nature, and made the best road trip snack packs.  He will be deeply missed and was loved by all who knew him.

Visitation will be held Saturday February 17th at the David Martens & Son  Funeral Home 4175 Rocky River Drive (between Lorain & Puritas) Cleveland from 2pm - 4pm with a brief service to follow.    At the request of the family, please do not send flowers.
