On October 11th, 2016, Jason Barrett (aka JoBoo) unexpectedly passed away. The void created by the sudden death of someone as beloved as Jason will always be hard to grasp.

Jason was a son, brother, nephew, cousin, father, friend and a person struggling with addiction. He fought a long and intense battle and maintained his rehabilitation for almost a year.  However, in the end, the addiction won.  In the wake of his passing, he left behind a heartbroken family, friends and his beautiful 7 month-old twins Michael and McKayla.

The goal of this gofundme is to raise money for his children and also to raise awarness about heroin addiction. With heroin claiming lives at a rapid rate, we would like to advocate on his behalf and try to help someone else avoid losing their loved one to this rising epidemic.

Jason was a fun loving, big hearted, funny, intelligent and charismatic person, who lit up the room.  He seldom was seen without a smile or an upbeat spirit. If you knew Jason, you knew he always made it a point to look out for the people he cared about. He was an amazing person, and will be missed every day by the lives he touched.
